This restaurant/cafe was recommended to us by a local as the best home cooked meal in the area at a great price. He was exactly right! The food is made fresh when you order it, not dumped out of the freezer and microwaved.  It was the best chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes I've ever had. The burgers are awesome and the catfish too! Don't let the outside fool you, it is definitely worth your time to check it out!

Very local breakfast place, in very small town.  Stopped by here after visiting friends who live in town.  Nice homey feel.  Everything was cooked fresh to order.

The sausage patties were out of this world. The biscuits and gravy were also solid, but lacked some sausage IMHO.  Combine both together in a breakfast mess and you have a very fattening slice of heaven.

Food is good. Real country type diner across from a flea market. Philly beef omelette quite good.  Service good but but could be more friendly. Also serves small fare buffet for breakfast and lunch. Quick for a fast bite

This place is exactly what it looks like - great food and friendly people. All six of our orders (each was altered or had substitutions) were done perfectly. Biscuits were huge and flaky, gravy was spot on, and all of our egg orders were executed as requested. All the staff was friendly and welcoming and checked on us frequently. We'll definitely be back when we come visit family. And yes, the non-smoking area does get smoke bleed over from the smoking area. Get over it and enjoy the food, people and atmosphere.

I came to Texas on vacation and I was looking forward to seeing eating at this location because I saw a YouTube video review of it. It turns out that this place has gone downhill since. They have a "temporary menu" which is limited to nothing. I ordered chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy and it was so disappointing. My friend ordered a burger and it had to be taken back to the kitchen because it was raw. The waitress came by twice max so my friend never got the refill he wanted. The bathroom had poo all in the toilet and there was only one roll of toilet paper and no paper towels. Also there's only one bathroom. The place allows smoking so the whole place smells like it and it's unappetizing. At least the toast was good.
